Funding confirmed for SDE network

Funding has been confirmed for the North West SDE and the rest of the regional SDE network in 2026/27.

Although the four-year Data for Research and Development Programme ends on 31 March 2026, additional funding is being made available for the SDE network along with other live health research services to continue in the new financial year – supporting over 650 projects overall.

The Data for Research Programme will be superseded by a new Health Data Research Service (HDRS) is currently being operationalised, with outline and full programme business cases expected in 2026.
