Home » For SDE Users » Data Use Register

The Data Use Register details every project approved to use data on the North West SDE.

Each project has been approved by one or more Data Access Committees (DAC) to ensure all research carried out on the North West SDE is in the public interest.

The Data Use Register is aligned with the Five Safes Framework, find out more in How data is protected. Our Data Access Committees page, provides more detailed information about the DAC, including what it does and how to join.

The current version of the Data Use Register (DUR) is set as a beta stage release and this has been co‑developed with users and members of the public, which is ongoing. Collaboratively, we are working to optimise the DUR and this will continue into 2026/27.
